Any Truck or Bus Licenced Operator in Ireland can reclaim Fuel Excise Duty called DRS.
However, there are a number of points to consider in order to be eligible:
- Must hold a Current Haulage/Bus Licence
- Must have a current Tax Clearance Certificate
- The Vehicles on the Operators Licence must be over 7.5tons
- Only fuel purchased by bulk or diesel cards are acceptable
- A record of the odometers readings will be requested at each start/finish of claim
- Details of current bank account in order for the repayment to be issued
